Fall is coming and it is the season of release and letting go. The Equinox means that the earth where all you need to understand is that all that is birthed is surrendering to the harvesting of life…our crops. Our farmers are forgotten even when we go to the grocery store and purchase items picked by our immigrants who readily will work hard for our country’s needs to feed the people here and abroad. This cycle of birth of the seedling is related to our crops and the meat and dairy and eggs we consume. We forget how we can feed a mass of our animals that provide us food. We forget to notice how to be compassionate and make regulations to grow our crops, cattle and chickens and eggs in a healthy way without toxins or caging or abuse of these animals. Not using dyes to enhance our salmon and trout or cereals and foods at all. We need it to be normal to demand our food be treated and cared for with compassion and not feed or water them with toxins or pumped and plumped up with steroids or holding them cruelly to fatten them up and antibiotics…If you look at the European countries, Latin and small countries like Sri Lanka, Costa Rica…they do not believe in this type of farming. They understand healthy animals yield healthy consumers. Food can affect the brains, body and metabolism, digestive system and mental state of being.
Maybe I am off track with the Fall Equinox but it leads me to appreciate the forgotten farmers and the crop and tree pickers and cowboys handing our cattle. There’s an immediate need to take care and also produce our food without poisoning our soil and waters as well. We need to surrender to the fact that the toxic ways of raising and farming do not yield the full potential of nutrition for all.
We need to harvest our minds of toxic ways of thinking, exclusion, competition, anger, sadness, anxiety and violence in our mental, speaking and behavioral dialogues and exchanges of our ideas to plant the seeds to a better tomorrow. It is important to reflect how a farmer makes our celebrations during the change of seasons possible and express gratitude and support for safer and non toxic ways of working and being.
When you see the leaves slowly twirling and dancing down from the trees…imagine this is the dance of surrendering that old thoughts, old patterns that limit our being are like the trees letting go of their leaves by realizing the mode of ways of being are completed of the old and a new potential and phase is possible. We need to be patient and take the time to allow the time to manifest, plan, organize and create a life where basic needs are met and ways for each individual in a non judgemental way to succeed and thrive and move up and forward. We need to be unselflish and celebrate all of our own potentials and encourage and support that with the new systems developed during the manifestation phase like in the winter so that the growth can start in the Spring and then thrive in the glory of the fiery energy of the Summer season.
It’s the season of letting go. What will you let go that doesn’t serve and unite and commit to new systems with pure universal intentions. So when you celebrate this Fall; find a letting go period to sit with it and start gathering and planning the surrender of this phase together and celebrate the potential of dormancy to be still and organize creating new systems together and planning its birth in the Spring.
This is the time in Georgia, USA and apple farmers and pumpkins are in harvest and this is the time all is harvested and planting is paused. Unless we develop systems of hydroponics or indoor planting for the savvy gardener, small home grower to the large farmer or community gardens. How do we celebrate this bounty giving thanks to the past and opening up to planning our future for new seeds of new ideas to be planted and grown. So take out your mead and carving and decorating pumpkins that resemble the Goddess and light your candles, put your own intentions in creating foods around the seasonal harvest and share these with others even people we don’t even know or have not had to or required to give us anything back. It’s a time where you can jump and play in the leaves, do pinecone art, apple and relish the shared bounty.
Happy Fall Equinox and happy planning, celebrating the release of old situations, people, places and situations and cleanse ourselves to start anew to reset, renew and rebirth in the Spring.
I hope I enjoyed this reminder of pondering the state of the USA and the season combined with the Ode to the Farmers because they need our support, call to visit a farm and buy their products as it may be too expensive to sell and transport goods is not possible delayed or expensive to export for reasons you know of. We can get around this and make each other thrive. Shared potlucks and meetings of ideas to move into a new era where compassion is the strength and focus we need without being distracted by the circus acts. Well, much love and enjoy that slice of pumpkin pie, pumpkin butter and apple pie with a neighbor. We need to understand our separatism doesn’t make us a whole country to do things that all need to thrive and be one unit of loving transformation.
Happy Fall Equinox. I wish you all the abundance of success, energy, to change, to thrive, to love and to unify.
